First Day of Fall
"You expected to be sad in the fall. Part of you died each year when the leaves fell from the trees and their branches were bare against the wind and the cold, wintery light. But you knew there would always be the spring, as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen."
— Ernest Hemingway (A Moveable Feast)

This past weekend I was able to make it downtown to the Hagedorn Foundation Gallery that was hosting an exhibit on The Sartorialist work. I had the pleasure of meeting Scott Schuman and had a brief conversation with him...very cool, down-to-earth guy...
I was able to snap a few pics of the event and one with Schuman. Curious to see the pics he shoots on the streets of ATL. He snapped one below that I already dig, looks like Little Five Points neighborhood..

Just watched the movie, Breathless with Jean-Paul Belmondo again last night and couldn't help but dig the silver bracelet he wears in the film. I think I might pickup a classic silver piece like the one above from David Yurman.
Silver bracelets are something your grandfather is more likely to rock which makes it that much more cool. When I was in high school I rocked an ID bracelet for a while but the bracelet Belmondo has in the film is classic.

Fall Shirt
CCR- Fortunate Son
Burkman Bros via- Stag/ Austin
The fall shirt. There's something about fall that makes me want to listen to classic rock, wear flannel, drink beer and play pool. The line by Burkman Bros really defines that vibe. Props to STAG in Austin for carrying this in-store and introducing me to the brand.

Last Blast: Float On
Indie Rock Cafe just released their "Last Blast" of indie summer songs where I heard a (Modest Mouse cover) "Float On" by Blackbird Blackbird. The video was filmed by Maya + Nadia tittled "Sparkle". Based out of Toronto, Maya works as a Cinematographer and Nadia works as a Film Editor, where they experiment with moving images together. I'm really looking forward to seeing what's next from these two..

Fall Purchase: Levis 511
Jude Law
I ran across this pic of Jude Law the other day and really dug the color of jeans he's wearing, almost like a taupe/greyish color...Anyways, I was out this weekend looking for some new clothes for fall when I saw these Levis 511 in red. I really dig the cut of these jeans along with their color selections. What I dig most about these jeans is you can dress them up or down. Next purchase: Fitted leather jacket..Any suggestions?

Spotlight: Jason Schwartzman
Just picked up the latest Nylon Guys article on Jason Schwartzman and I thought it was really good. I've always been a Schwartzman fan since Rushmore but I really envy the guy. In the article it talks about Schwartzman starting out as a musician with his band Phantom Planet and really embracing that until he got approached for Rushmore. Since Rushmore just like cultivating his style for music he has been crafting his style for movies. The magazine noted that Schwartzman sometimes reads up to 10 music blogs a day and tries to watch one movie a day.
The magazine compares him to a young Dustin Hoffman and I must agree. Schwartzman has a great comedic onscreen presence without being over the top. Schwartzman who is recently married also finds time to still record music as Coconut Records, which if you haven't heard yet is great. The above shots are from a 2009 lookbook for fashion label, Band of Outsiders. Check out the article in Nylon Guys if you get a chance. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
